About Me
If it's kitschy, cute, crusty, or collectible, I'm drawn to it like a duck to water. I collect and sell vintage linens, fabric, ironstone, greeting cards, books, sewing notions, lamps, kitchenware, teapots ... well, you get the idea! I write about my finds and my faith on my blog Cottage and Creek and sell the things I don't keep in my two Etsy shops, Estate of Mind and Dress Your Drawers.
I've always been told I have a knack for decorating and I'm currently having fun bringing my 1952 brick Cape Cod-style cottage back to life. It faces a rushing creek teeming with wildlife so there's always lots of inspiration and intrigue. I found myself suddenly single seven years ago and most recently an empty-nester, so expanding my interests in DIY projects and cultivating a "can do" attitude has been both healing and empowering. And like the thrifted treasures I fill my cozy cottage-on-the-creek with, I'm a bit worn and a bit bruised, but still ready for all that life has to offer.
