The Story

The library that my parents frequent was having a silent auction to get rid of some furniture. My dad let me know about it because he knew we were badly in need of kitchen chairs... There was a list of bids on each item, and I was the high bidder on 6 chairs @ $6 each. They are institution-grade, still very sturdy, and the upholstery is in great condition. Perhaps someday I'll recover... but for $36, they'll "do" until we can afford something really nice.
