The Bird of Paradise plant is native to South Africa . a real talking point it has large exotic looking paddle shaped leaves on long elegant stems. The leaves are a gorgeous glossy dark green colour. It comes with this stylish ceramic light grey pot . making the perfect addition to any room. 

All Strelitzia will have some splits in their leaves . this is a clever trick the plant does to ensure that the younger leaves receive plenty of light. You will particularly notice this on the mature leaves and is a part of the natural charm of this plant.
